How do different forms of Christianity handle reli Essays - Belief

How do different forms of Christianity handle religious diversity? The beliefs among Christians can vary, m any cons ervative Christians are exclusio nists , meaning t hey believe that their own value and those who agree with them are the only valid faith, while all other groups are in serious error . Whilst on the other hand, some are exclusionists and believe that their group's beliefs are fully true, while all other groups only have part of the truth . They see their own faith group, as based u pon the Word of God as expressed in the Bible. M ost believe in the traditional Christian belief that an individual will be sent to Hell when she/he dies if she/he has not first repented of their sins and then been noted by trusting Jesus as Lor d and Savior, while still alive. This would include essentially all members of non-Christian faith groups and many members of Christian denominations. Some conservative Christians believe that the Gods and Goddesses of othe r religions are actually demons. They g enerally recognize the existence of spiritu al power in other faith groups' rituals, services and leaders. But they often attribute that power to demonic spirits, and describe it as a form of counterfeit power which may appear to be of God, but which originates in powers of evil . Liberal Christianity respect their own views highly, and are willing to co-operate with pluralism and believe it's a good Christian thing to do is to respect the beliefs of other religions. (Talk about Unitarians) Nobody will put to hell, god is too good. Even the bad will be fixed and re directed by god. (The worlds parliments of religions ) liberal 1893. Liberals were happy to meet the diverse range of people .. conservatives did not enjoy the company. (Jerry Farwell speech) conservative view. Why do people drift to liberal or conserbvative ?
